The Role 

The Software Engineer role will contribute directly to PERQ's AI based online guided shopping software products. This role will work as part of a high performing, collaborative team of Product Managers, Quality Assurance Engineers, UI/UX designers, Data Scientists, and other Software Engineers dedicated to building a quality, scalable, configurable, usable, high-performing, and fault tolerant SaaS web application, data analytics engine, and integration platform.  The software engineer will also be the level three escalation for internal resources with technical questions or issues with the software, though this role is not customer facing.  The software engineer will also be the lead developer on PERQ's internal LAMP based systems. 


The Responsibilities 

  • Write custom JavaScript, HTML, and CSS that works across all browsers and devices 

  • Utilize Amazon Web Services such as EC2, S3CloudWatch, and RDS to assist in the management and tuning of SAAS applications 

  • Utilize Chrome DevTools and other cross-browser testing and development tools to analyze, modify, and enhance SaaS applications 

  • Troubleshoot, take ownership of, and resolve escalated technical issues from customers 

  • Build new features and enhance existing features of PERQ's software products 

  • Learn new software and become an expert in how websites and web pages are structured 

  • Lead development and maintenance of internal PHP based systems

  • Minimum 1 year of LAMP stack development experience 

  • Demonstrated usage of a wide range of technologies including C#, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS 

  • Good knowledge of MySQL and/or PostgreSQL 

  • Knowledge of a front-end framework such as Angular or React 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer technology or equivalent software programming experience
